Cycling & Walking

Whilst just strolling around the 15 acres of lakes and meadows you have to explore here is beautiful, there is more to explore in the surrounding countryside of the Loire Valley.

There are lovely signposted walks that you can take from the front door into our neighbouring villages, forests and country lanes - starting at just a few km right up to full 50km treks. For those willing to explore a little further, there are countless walks in the local area, along the river Loire and through picturesque villages perfect for a stop off to enjoy a drink and a croissant!

The Loire Valley is a cyclist’s paradise. Hardened 100km endurance veterans or those who prefer more picnic and less exercise, there is something to suit everyone. The Loire Valley cycle path offers opportunities to explore incredible landscapes along level ground that is a joy to cycle with plenty of restaurants, chateaux and villages along the way. We have explored the area over the last few years by bike along the river and have found some amazing places to visit. If fishing isn’t your thing, or you just fancy doing something different, bring your bikes and explore!
