Set in rural France, Les Etangs du Cerf is in a great location to explore when not fishing. A morning or afternoon out and about can make the trip even more interesting for those who don’t want to spend 24 hours a day by the lake! The closest town, Gien, is ten minutes away. It is a lively riverside town with plenty of shops, supermarkets and restaurants (including Michelin starred Cote Jardin), a beautiful chateau with museum and picturesque church, a weekly market and frequent events such as antique fairs. There are also 2 villages less than ten minutes away from the house, both with a bakers and convenience stores.

Etang du Puits is a beautiful swimming lake with sandy beaches and an inflatable water park for the children in the summer months

There are also plenty of beautiful places to go for a countryside walk around the property, straight from the house or just a short drive away.

The stunning cities of Orleans and Bourges are an hour away, while Paris is an easy train ride of 90 mins.
